Alcatel-Lucent University has a two-pronged approach to meeting employee learning needs:

In 2008, Alcatel-Lucent University delivered nearly 1.3 million hours of training to over 55,000 employees worldwide.


Easy access to learning opportunities

The learning strategy combines classroom lectures with technology-based training and hands-on experience. In 2008, nearly 40% of training was delivered outside the classroom. As part of its Always-On initiative, Alcatel-Lucent University is now looking at providing additional e-Learning offerings, streamlined catalogs and a self-service learning portal.
